Who We Are

Scott Kahn	Scott Kahn, Editor in Chief, was the co-founder and associate editor of Korg Connection, the first official user group publication for users of Korg musical instruments way back in the early '90s. During a decade of work in Silicon Valley, CA, Scott wrote professionally for computer industry publications including PC Week Magazine and NewMedia Magazine. Outside of work, Scott is an accomplished musician and producer with many independent CD credits writing, playing, and producing. He is co-founder of the award-winning progressive rock band, Days Before Tomorrow. Scott first launched MusicPlayers.com in 1998 as a simple website hosting musicians' classifieds for the first few years, but in March 2006, MusicPlayers.com was officially re-launched as an online magazine focused on the needs of serious musicians. Scott is also author of the popular Hal-Leonard book, Modern Guitar Rigs: The Tone Fanatic's Guide to Integrating Amps & Effects, now in its second edition.
Jason Buchwald	Jason Buchwald, Senior Keyboards Editor, is a Phoenix, AZ area professional keyboard player, originally from New York. Besides CD credits and live performances opening for well-known artists, Jason was the co-founder of the progressive rock band, Days Before Tomorrow, and is also an accomplished vocal arranger for A Capella groups. Matt Abrams	Matt Abrams, Guitars Editor, is a professional guitar player based in Phoenix, Arizona. You can catch him gigging regularly with his band, The Flippin Switches, when he's not busy writing a ton of guitar gear-related product reviews, of course!
Zack Seif	Zack Seif, Guitars Editor, is a New Jersey–based content creator, multimedia business owner, and Berklee-educated touring musician. On stage, Zack performs as lead guitarist and vocalist with both The Ever After Band and Crash The Party, entertaining audiences at weddings, corporate events, casinos, and nightclubs along the East Coast. He is currently endorsed by CFG, JH Audio, Jim Dunlop, LSL Instruments, and Quantum Industries, where he also serves as Artist Relations Manager and U.S. Head of Sales. Derek Davodowich	Derek Davodowich, Guitars Editor, is a professional guitar player, Berklee graduate, and guitar instructor located in New Jersey.
Dominic Guss	Dominic Guss, Editor (Pro Audio & Percussion), is a Phoenix, Arizona-based session drummer and recording engineer. He also designs and manufactures custom acoustic treatment products with his company, Aural Endeavors, LLC.

A marketing professional with 20 years of brand and agency experience, she’s the owner and principal of PHANTOM POWER Marketing, a fully integrated marketing firm serving the needs of musicians as well as small  and mid-sized businesses. She’s also a musician and singer with years of performance experience, and a self-professed gear junkie.

Eric Sands, Drums & Percussion Editor, wrote for Korg Connection and years later went on to co-found two popular online drum communities, www.vdrums.com and www.ddrums.com. Both of these sites became leading sources of information and news for serious electronic drummers and percussionists. Eric is an accomplished rock and jazz drummer, keyboard player, and computer engineer.

John Quigley, Guitar Editor, is a professional guitar player and member of the NJ classic rock cover band, Side Effects.

Josh Gannet, Recording Writer, is the chief engineer at Skunk Hollow Recordings, as well as a professional freelance recording engineer throughout the NY metropolitan area.
