PRS Guitars Announces the New SE Custom 24 Laurel Burl Limited Edition

(STEVENSVILLE, MD) May 14, 2019 – PRS Guitars is proud to announce a new limited edition SE model: The PRS SE Custom 24 Laurel Burl. The PRS SE Custom 24 is the quintessential SE guitar, designed to faithfully reflect the PRS model that started it all. The SE Custom 24 Laurel Burl adds a distinctive new look while serving up classic PRS playability, reliability, and vibrant tone

“The quality of exotic veneers available through the PRS SE factory is exciting, and we’re thrilled to offer these variations on our flagship model. We began offering exotic veneers several years ago, including Zebrawood, Ziricote, and Spalted Maple. The Laurel Burl veneer is some of the most striking material we have seen,” said Jack Higginbotham, PRS Guitars Chief Operating Officer.

This model keeps all of the foundational specifications as the SE Custom 24, including a maple top, mahogany back, Wide Thin maple neck, 24 frets, 25” scale length, and the PRS patented molded tremolo. The dual 85/15 “S” pickups with 3-way blade switch and push/pull tone control for coil tapping provide a versatile palette of modern tones. This classic design is gig ready, studio sound, and sure to turn heads.

As a limited edition for 2019, PRS will be offering a maximum of 1,500 SE Custom 24 Laurel Burl guitars worldwide. Please visit www.prsguitars.com for full specifications, and follow @prsguitars on social media to join the conversation.
