Bensalem, PA – January 20, 2021: New for 2021, Ibanez introduces its brand new AZS Prestige series. Though they draw heavy inspiration from the ethos of the original AZ, the AZS series is very much its own thing. These four dynamic designs all feature a uniquely contoured single cut body, a Seymour Duncan Magic Touch Mini neck humbucker, and a Seymour Duncan® Alnico II Pro™ Custom single coil at the bridge. Features that carry over from the original AZ series include an oval C S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple neck and fingerboard, Gotoh® Magnum Lock machine heads w/H.A.P., a bone nut, and Luminlay side dot inlays. Some difference between the different guitars include a Gotoh® T1802 tremolo bridge on the AZS2200 models and a hardtail bridge on the AZS2209H models. Finishes range from solid colors, to transparent finishes over either Flame or Quilted Maple Tops. Every AZS model also includes the dyna-MIX5 switching system, which delivers 5 unique tonal voicings to the player.
