SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Oct. 1, 2020) – Jackson® today announces the all-new Pro Series Limited Edition San Dimas® SD22 JB and the return of our popular holiday JS Series Minion models in a full array of finishes.
Guitar nerds will instantly recognize the Pro San Dimas SD22 JB from the epic guitar duel in 1986’s cult classic film Crossroads.
A throwback ‘80s shred guitar, the Jackson Pro Series Limited Edition San Dimas SD22 JB screams in a Red Sparkle finish with a pointed Jackson black headstock and both black and chrome hardware.
Other shredalistic features include a 25.5” scale length, alder body and bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint, graphite reinforcement and hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back. Built for blazing speed, the 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard features rolled edges, 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays.
Direct mount DiMarzio® Super Distortion® DP100 bridge and DiMarzio PAF Pro® DP151 neck pickups offer a tried and true high-output combo, delivering a perfect blend of power and tone. Enjoy thick, boosted mids, big lows and fat highs from the high-power bridge pickup, while the open-sounding neck pickup cuts through a heavy mix with snappy highs, bold lows and a spiked mid-range.
The Pro SD22 JB also has a three-way toggle switch, single volume control, top-mount Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system for all the dive-bomb junkies, Jackson sealed die-cast tuners and Dunlop® dual-locking strap buttons.
Minuscule axes with monstrous bite, the Jackson JS Series Minion Dinky™, Rhoads and Concert™ Bass models are ideal for aspiring little shredders or grownup road dogs who need an easy-traveling instrument loaded with all the features they love.
The JS Series Dinky™ Minion JS1X, Dinky JSX1M, RR Minion JS1X and RR Minion JS1XM all feature a 2/3 scale length at 22.5”, poplar body, speedy bolt-on maple neck with graphite-reinforcement rods, 12”-radius fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets, rear-angled Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock for evenly distributed tension and sculpted heel for easy upper fret playing.
A pair of Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets crank out clear tone with plenty of girth. The neck position delivers bright highs while the bridge adds plenty of crunchy distortion. Tone can be shaped with a three-way toggle switch and single volume and tone controls, while a string-through-body hardtail bridge with block saddles improves intonation and sustain.
Featuring an amaranth fingerboard with pearloid sharkfin inlays, the Dinky JS1X is available in Gloss Black, Metallic Blue Burst, Neon Green or Pavo Purple finishes with black hardware. The RR Minion JS1X also features an amaranth fingerboard with pearloid sharkfin inlays and comes in Metallic Blue Burst, Neon Green, Neon Yellow or Satin Black with black hardware.
Featuring a maple fingerboard and black sharkfin inlays, the Dinky Minion JS1XM and RR Minion JS1XM come in Snow White with black hardware.
For those wanting massive low-end thunder in a compact package, the JS Series Concert™ Bass Minion JS1X and JS Series Concert Bass Minion JS1XM feature a shortened 28.6” scale length, poplar body, bolt-on maple neck with graphite-reinforcement rods, 12”-radius fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and tilt-back headstock for reduced playing fatigue.
Plenty of balanced, deep tone radiates from a Jackson P style neck pickup, while a Jackson J style bridge pickup works double-time by eliminating hum and delivering punchy tone note after note. Other features include a pair of volume knobs, single tone knob and a hardtail bridge with black base plate.
The Concert Bass Minion JS1X features an amaranth fingerboard with pearloid sharkfin inlays and is available in Neon Green, Pavo Purple, Satin Black or Satin Silver. The Concert Bass Minion JS1XM features a maple fingerboard with black sharkfin inlays and is offered in Snow White. All Concert Bass models come with black hardware and black pointy headstocks.
