Paris, February 3rd, 2021 - UVI release 8-Bit Synth, a chip-focused instrument loaded with the authentic sounds of vintage game systems, chip synths, and computers, inspired by classics like the SID Station, Commodore 64, Gameboy, Mod Machine, and more. 8-Bit Synth is available now, with a special introductory price of $59 / 59€ through February 8th, 2021 (regularly $99 / 99€).
8-Bit Synth delivers over 370 custom presets giving you a massive selection of authentic sounds sampled from vintage hardware, game systems, and chip synth synthesizers, while its dual-layer design lets you easily combine and morph between sounds to create evolving timbres and your very own custom hybrids. Presets are presented in categories including Bass, Bells, Brass, Chords, Drums, FX, Keys, Leads, Pads, Plucks, Polysynth, and Sweeps, offering a wide range of sounds from classic game sounds to modern genre adaptations and beyond.
All presets in 8-Bit Synth are fully-editable and are equally valuable as inspirational starting points or plug-and-play sonic destinations. Users have full control over the sound by way of per-layer multimode filter, amp and filter envelopes, pitch and stereo controls, handy modwheel assignments, step and lfo modulators, versatile arpeggiators, and a master effect section with 3-band EQ, drive, Thorus, ensemble, Phasor, delay and Sparkverb.
8-Bit Synth offers native 64-bit standalone operation by way of Falcon or the free UVI Workstation, providing comprehensive support for all modern DAWs and simultaneous authorization on up to 3 computers or iLok keys.
