Today, Fender expands its industry-leading design and shopping platform, Fender Mod Shop, to Japan, allowing players in the region to order customized guitars and basses built by Fender for the very first time. Originally launched in the US in 2016, Mod Shop is an immersive digital studio experience providing consumers with the ability to design their dream guitars by choosing from a wide variety of customizable options.
In addition, Fender is also introducing a host of exciting new options to the Mod Shop, available in the newly launched Japan market as well as in the US, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
New spec choices include Pure Vintage Pickups, Roasted Maple Necks, and Channel-bound Necks (Strat & Tele only). Electric guitars can also now be ordered in two classic Fender finishes: Texas Tea and Mocha Burst.
More options have also been added to the American Acoustasonic guitars on the platform, with the All Mahogany models now available in Bourbon Burst and Natural Mahogany finishes.
