October 14, 2025 — Guild® Guitars introduce the USA-made* M-50 Standard Natural, M-50 Standard Antique Burst, M-40 Standard Natural, and M-40 Standard Pacific Sunset Burst concert-size acoustic guitars. Acoustic-electric versions with factory-installed L.R. Baggs® Element VTC active pickup systems are also available as “E” models.
“These new guitars have smaller bodies and wider nut widths, which are popular with singer-songwriters, fingerstyle guitarists, and recording engineers and producers,” said Nick Beach, Product Manager, Fretted Instruments. “They are built entirely of premium solid woods for exceptional tone and responsiveness and have a ‘played-in’ look and feel thanks to their Vintage Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes.”
The M-40 Standard Natural and M-40 Standard Pacific Sunset Burst guitars (seen below) feature solid Sitka spruce tops and solid African mahogany back and sides, mahogany C shape necks with Indian rosewood fingerboards, tortoiseshell pickguards, and Guild Deluxe Vintage open-gear tuners with cream oval buttons.
