Fender Custom Shop’s Latest Artist Signature Recreates Brian Fallon’s #1 Telecaster, Arriving With Lightweight Two-Piece Alder Body And Flat-Laminated Dark AAA Rosewood Fingerboard, Elegantly Finished In Journeyman Relic® Black Lacquer
HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (April 28, 2026) — Today, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) and the Fender Custom Shop (FCS) unveil the Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom, paying homage to one of rock’s most respected songwriters. Reflecting the sheer versatility of his playing style, the instrument encapsulates Fallon’s affinity with the Telecaster, striking the perfect tonal balance between raw, powerful resonance and sweet, delicate chime.
Best-known as the creative force behind The Gaslight Anthem, Fallon’s musical efforts saw the New Jersey-hailing group step into the limelight with 2008’s critically acclaimed album The ’59 Sound. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Joe Strummer, and the confessional side of the punk rock scene, his meld of rhythmic guitar work and nostalgia-infused lyricism have garnered the group a devoted and enduring fanbase. An apt fit in echoing the ‘59 of their breakthrough record, the Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom is a recreation of the guitar Fallon toured with in The Gaslight Anthem’s early days; an instrument the singer-songwriter has fondly remembered throughout his career.
“There’s only the switches, and the volume and the tone, and that’s really all you got so you better figure it out,” said Brian Fallon. “It’s about taking what you can do and making the best of that, and I think this is the guitar for that. If you need a hammer, that’s a hammer, and everyone needs a hammer. You cannot build a house without it.”
Working closely with the Fender Custom Shop, Brian Fallon’s signature Telecaster is based on that original instrument, featuring an array of carefully tailored specs that harness the fierce, creative spirit of Fallon’s impressive career. The double-bound, two-piece alder body is finished in a striking Journeyman Relic® black lacquer, and paired with a ‘60-Style Oval “C” maple neck and flat-laminated dark AAA rosewood fingerboard. Completed with Righteous Sound “Fourth Man” pickups and Dual Stack HS Tele® wiring, the bridge pickup offers a mid-range snarl, while the split-coil neck pickup delivers warm, clear note definition; combining to create a shimmering, well-balanced tone in the middle position.
“Brian’s honest and raw songwriting places him in an incredible group of influential voices from the last few decades,” said Chase Paul, Director of Product Development, Fender Custom Shop. “Working together with him on recreating every detail of his favorite Tele, we’re able to give his fans hands-on access to a guitar that helps drive him night in and night out.”
Setting this guitar apart amidst its collection of vintage specs, the Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster® Custom arrives with an array of premium features, from its 9.5" radius, 21 vintage upgrade (45085) frets, 3-way switch, and ’63 Telecaster® bridge with RSD Brass Saddles, to the vintage-style tuning machines and bone nut, American Vintage ’59-’64 wing string tree.
