George Kapa is the dynamic guitar force behind the alternative metal/progressive rock band SiXforNinE and the lead guitarist for Sakis Tolis, the frontman and leader of the legendary band Rotting Christ. With over two decades of experience as a touring musician and a guitar tutor, George has carved out a prominent place in the music industry.
Today Solar Guitars are proud to announce the GC1.6GK, the 1st George Kapa Signature model. This Type-G finish takes inspiration from American muscle cars and at the same time pays tribute to George`s Greek heritage with the obvious choice of white and blue.
What separates the GC1.6GK from the rest of the Solar Guitars lineup is the pickup configuration: SH16 Custom Hybrid & SHPR1 N P-Rails. With a simple 3-way switch & a push / pull on the tone knob you can change tones in a heartbeat. George adds: "With this neck pickup, it`s like having 2 pickups in 1...switching from a classic P90 sound to a humbucker is all I need for that extra versatility."
We paired a TonePros Tune-o-matic bridge with a pair of solar locking tuners and 24 stainless steel frets for ultimate tunability and Glow in the dark side dots to always know what you are playing on stage disregarding any stage condition you might have. As soon as you lay your hands on this greek goddess you will be filled with true Mediterranean Rock'n'roll feeling.
