CHARVEL® ANNOUNCES BRAND-NEW USA SELECT DK24 MODEL; ALSO ADDS NEW FINISHES AND WOOD OPTIONS FOR PRO-MOD SERIES

Scottsdale, Ariz. (January 24, 2019) – Charvel® today announces the brand-new USA Select DK24 HH 2PT CM model, as well as new color and wood options for its best-selling Pro-Mod Series So-Cal and San Dimas® guitars.

The Charvel USA Select DK24 HH 2PT CM is an exquisite USA-made instrument designed for modern players with discerning tastes. Hearkening back to Charvel’s roots and born on west coast soil, the USA DK24 2PT CM is meticulously built by the Charvel team at the Custom Shop in Corona, Calif., so nothing about this high-performance axe is overlooked.

Wrapped in either an Oxblood or Satin White finish, its Dinky™ alder body with sculpted heel is paired with a two-piece bolt-on quartersawn caramelized maple “speed” neck with graphite reinforcement and a silky-smooth hand-rubbed urethane back finish for comfortable playability. The back of the body also features a scalloped lower back bout that works in tandem with the shredder cut heel to allow for easy upper fretboard access.

Built for highly-technical playing, its 12”-16” compound radius caramelized maple fingerboard features comfortable rolled edges, 24 stainless steel jumbo frets, pearl dot inlays and a Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut. Luminlay® side dots provide fretboard guidance even on the darkest of stages, while a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel makes for quick and painless neck relief tweaks.

Full, rich and versatile tone comes from an HH pickup configuration consisting of a direct mount custom Seymour Duncan® Full Shred SH-10B bridge pickup and direct mount custom Seymour Duncan® Alnico II Pro APH-1N neck pickup. The Full Shred bridge pickup soars with a bold and articulate humbucker voice, while the Alnico II Pro neck pickup delivers warm, buttery vintage tone.

Other premium modern features include a five-way blade switch, two-way toggle (series/parallel) switch, Stratocaster®-style skirt knobs for the volume (with 500K EVH® Bourns® low-friction potentiometer) and no-load tone controls, Gotoh® Custom 510 recessed tremolo bridge with titanium saddles and thick brass block, USA-made Sperzel® locking tuners, chrome hardware and hardshell Charvel case.

Constructed with an alder body, these So-Cal axes also feature a maple neck with a hand-rubbed urethane back finish and a pair of graphite reinforcement rods for rock-solid stability, as well as a conveniently located heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel. Hot-rodded for unparalleled performance and versatile sound, these instruments host a high-output Seymour Duncan® TB-6 Distortion humbucking bridge pickup and a warm, fat Seymour Duncan® SH-6N Distortion humbucking neck pickup.

The volume control hides a push/pull coil split for even more highly useful tonal variations, ideal for everything from a biting lead sound to thick, chunky rhythm work. The no-load tone control (right-hand models only) operates like a standard tone control from positions one through nine, removing itself from the circuit at position ten for transparent sound, letting the full natural voice of the guitar shine through. The left-handed model features a tone control with push/pull tone activation.

These models also feature a Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking recessed tremolo bridge system, Charvel-branded sealed die-cast tuners, standard strap buttons and a licensed Fender® Stratocaster® headstock.
