3rd Power Amplification launches exciting releases at the 2026 NAMM Show, hires sales team to expand U.S. dealership network

Minneapolis, MN — During NAMM 2026, 3rd Power Amplification, the innovative U.S. builder of handcrafted, heirloom-quality tube guitar amplifiers, introduced and exhibited several new and exciting releases.

The Phantom Dragon™ Series: Two Power Levels. One Relentless British Voice.

First, 3rd Power Amplification introduced the Phantom Dragon™ Series, a new line of guitar amplifiers designed to elevate the experience of playing lead guitar. Launching with two models — Phantom Dragon 45 and Phantom Dragon 100 — the series delivers the same expressive core voice in two power formats, tailored for players who carry melodic responsibility on stage and in the studio.
Rather than chasing a single historical reference point, the Phantom Dragon platform was developed around the needs of primary musical voices — players who rely on dynamic response, harmonic depth, and feel to shape the emotional arc of a performance. These amplifiers are built to respond to intention, remaining articulate and inspiring as the player pushes further.

At the heart of both models is a meticulously voiced gain structure that prioritizes expressive authority over sheer aggression. The result is an amplifier that moves fluidly from articulate edge-of breakup textures to soaring lead tones, maintaining clarity, note separation, and dimensionality across a wide dynamic range. The Phantom Dragon 45 emphasizes earlier power-tube interaction and immediacy, offering a more intimate response well suited for recording environments and expressive stage work. The Phantom Dragon 100 expands the same tonal foundation with increased headroom, scale, and impact, designed for players who need uncompromising authority on larger stages without sacrificing touch sensitivity.

The Phantom Dragon platform draws on design insights developed in 3rd Power’s Custom Shop, including the Dragon 100 amplifier created in collaboration with Joe Satriani, translating that experience into a production-ready series focused on expressive range and player-driven response.

“Phantom Dragon is about building an amplifier that keeps up with the player,” says Dylana Nova Scott, Founder and Lead Designer of 3rd Power Amplification. “These are not genre amps — they are lead instruments. They reward nuance, demand intention, and stay alive under the hands even when pushed to their limits.”
As with all 3rd Power amplifiers, Phantom Dragon models are hand-built in the USA using premium components and meticulous quality control. The series integrates seamlessly into the broader 3rd Power ecosystem, pairing naturally with the company’s Highline™ vertical combo enclosures and MagFRAG™ pickup designs.

The Phantom Dragon Series will be available through authorized 3rd Power dealers in 2026.

MagFRAG™ Pickup System: PraXIS and Drive Series pickups redefine how players shape gain at the source.

Furthermore, 3rd Power Amplification also formally introduced the MagFRAG™ Pickup System, a proprietary, multi-magnet electric guitar pickup platform designed to give players intentional control over how and where gain is created — at the guitar, through pedals, or at the amplifier.

Originally developed as a high-resolution interface between guitar and amplifier, the MagFRAG system departs from traditional single-bar humbucker architecture by employing string-specific magnetic voicing to improve clarity, balance, and dynamic response. Rather than chasing vintage replication, MagFRAG pickups are engineered as part of a modern tone ecosystem, revealing the player’s touch while preserving musical feel across a wide range of gain structures.
For 2026, the MagFRAG Pickup System is expressed through two distinct pickup families: PraXIS™ and Drive™, each addressing a different approach to gain shaping and expression.

The PraXIS™ Series represents the most transparent and dynamically revealing side of the MagFRAG system.

• PraXIS Reveal features a low-mass coil architecture designed to maximize speed, openness, and dynamic disclosure. By prioritizing signal clarity and touch sensitivity over output, Reveal allows players to shape gain intentionally at the pedalboard or amplifier, while preserving every nuance of the instrument and the player’s hands.

• PraXIS Reference delivers a balanced, full-range voice intended to serve as a tonal benchmark — a clear, unexaggerated foundation for modern electric guitar.

• PraXIS Reference+ builds on that balance with increased output and authority, providing more push while maintaining articulation and touch sensitivity.

For players seeking a more expressive and forward interaction with their amplifiers, the MagFRAG Drive Series explores harmonic complexity and feel.

• MagFRAG Drive is voiced to engage the front end of an amplifier musically, offering articulate mids and responsive saturation without excessive compression.

• MagFRAG Drive Studio, offered in an unpotted configuration, embraces controlled microphonics to enhance harmonic bloom, dimensionality, and studio-grade responsiveness.

“MagFRAG is about intent,” said Dylana Nova Scott, Founder and Chief Designer of 3rd Power Amplification. “Where you choose to shape gain should be a musical decision. The MagFRAG Pickup System gives players clear, purpose-built tools to decide whether that happens at the guitar, the pedalboard, or the amplifier.”

All MagFRAG pickups are designed and built in the USA and are available individually or as matched sets through authorized 3rd Power Amplification dealers.

The Highline Series: A Player-Facing Amplifier Platform Built to Let Musicians Stand Inside of Their Tone

In addition, 3rd Power Amplification announced the Highline Series, a vertically oriented amplifier platform designed to redefine how a guitar amplifier occupies space—placing the sound where the player can fully hear and feel it.

Inspired by tall, player-facing combo amplifiers of the early 1970s, the Highline Series lifts the sound field off the floor and positions it directly in front of the player, with controls set at a natural standing height. The result is a more immediate, intuitive, and immersive playing experience.

Built around the idea that when the amp stands taller, the sound meets you halfway, the Highline format creates a commanding, three-dimensional wall of sound that allows players to truly stand inside of their tone.
Highline is more than a single amplifier—it is a sonic place to go. By sharing common chassis dimensions across the 3rd Power lineup, both the Aurora 35 and Lyra amplifiers are fully compatible with the Highline cabinet format. This allows players to choose their preferred amplifier voice while maintaining the same immersive, player-facing experience.

“The goal with Highline was to give players a physical place to live inside their sound,” says Dylana Nova Scott, founder and designer of 3rd Power Amplification. “It’s a new way to experience immersive tone.”

Available in multiple speaker configurations—including dual 12-inch, triple 10-inch, and a 15-inch / 10-inch pairing—the Highline Series delivers classic authority with modern versatility. Each unit is hand-built in the USA using premium components and designed for long-term reliability.
Highline Series products are available through authorized 3rd Power Amplification dealers. Introductory pricing starts around $3,199 (Lyra equipped) and $3,399 (Aurora 35 equipped).

Aurora 45 Pro: The Foundation and First Touchpoint of the 3rd Power Lineup

Last but certainly not least, 3rd Power Amplification announced the Aurora 45 Pro, a reference-grade clean amplifier designed as both the foundation of the company’s lineup and the ideal first experience for players discovering 3rd Power for the first time.

The Aurora 45 Pro represents a modern rethinking of the American clean amplifier—not as a nostalgic reproduction, but as a reliable, expressive platform that players can confidently build upon. Delivering 45 watts of authoritative power, the Aurora 45 Pro offers expansive headroom, exceptional touch sensitivity, and a three-dimensional response that remains intact under real-world stage and studio demands.

“Clean amplifiers are the most recorded amps in history,” says Dylana Nova Scott, Founder and Lead Designer of 3rd Power Amplification. “Aurora 45 Pro is where players meet 3rd Power. It establishes the tonal baseline—the amp you trust first, and the one everything else can grow from.”
At the heart of the Aurora 45 Pro is Venue Mode™, 3rd Power’s patented attenuation system, which allows players to retain feel, harmonic complexity, and response at any volume. This makes the Aurora 45 Pro uniquely adaptable, equally suited for touring stages, recording studios, and volume-sensitive environments.

Designed with premium components and built by hand in the USA, the Aurora 45 Pro emphasizes long-term reliability, musical consistency, and pedal-friendly performance. Its neutral yet inspiring voice makes it an ideal platform for modern pedalboards, gain stacking, and evolving rigs—while preserving the integrity of the player’s touch and dynamics.

As the cornerstone of the 3rd Power lineup, Aurora 45 Pro serves as the entry point into a broader ecosystem of amplifiers that expand into higher gain, increased power, and specialized voicings—without ever abandoning the clarity and feel established at the foundation.

The Aurora 45 Pro will be available through authorized 3rd Power Amplification dealers in 2026.

3rd Power Amplification Hires National Sales Team to Expand U.S. Dealer Network

On top of all the above releases at NAMM 2026, 3rd Power Amplification has also announced the hiring of a national sales team to represent the brand across the United States.

The newly appointed sales team brings decades of experience in the musical instrument industry and currently represents some of the most respected names in guitars, amplification, and accessories, including Ibanez guitars, giving 3rd Power immediate national reach and deep dealer relationships.

“Expanding our sales presence nationally is a major milestone for 3rd Power,” said Dylana Nova Scott, Founder and Chief Designer of 3rd Power Amplification. “This team understands premium musical instruments, values long-term dealer relationships, and knows how to communicate what makes a truly great tube amplifier special. That alignment was essential for us.”

The move comes as 3rd Power continues to experience growing demand for its U.S.-built amplifier line, which is trusted by professional touring artists and discerning players worldwide. Known for combining classic tube-amp tone with modern innovation, 3rd Power’s amplifiers are designed to inspire musicians while delivering the reliability and craftsmanship required for a lifetime of use.

By hiring a seasoned national sales team, 3rd Power aims to significantly increase dealer access, improve hands-on availability for players, and support retailers with knowledgeable representation and product education.

“Our goal is simple,” Scott added. “We want more players to be able to see, hear, and feel what it’s like to plug into a real tube amplifier that’s built without compromise. This sales team gives us the reach and professionalism to do that properly.”

The national sales team will begin representing 3rd Power Amplification immediately, with expanded dealer outreach and in-person demonstrations planned throughout 2026.
