Significant updates to the two popular MPC’s bringing 4x the processing power, more memory, and new colors Inspired by the iconic colorways of classic MPC hardware.
CUMBERLAND, R.I. (June 18, 2026) – Akai Professional®️ today introduced the MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2, two new standalone MPC systems, delivering four times the processing performance of previous models. Upgraded with an 8-core processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, both units leverage MPC3 OS to provide producers, composers, and beatmakers with faster loading speeds and expanded session capacity in the form factors they love.
"Whether you live on the pads or write everything on keys, the MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2 give producers and beat makers the most powerful standalone MPC we have ever built at these prices," said Andy Mac, Director of Artist Relations at Akai Professional. "From bedroom beat makers to established producer communities around the world, creators now have four times the power, MPC3 OS, and a powerful collection of instruments and samples ready to get you started. This is generation 2 of MPC standalone production."
FOUR TIMES THE POWER
At the core of both machines is the updated 8-core processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, delivering dramatically faster load times, larger project capacity, and smoother standalone sessions. Both the MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2 support up to 32 simultaneous plugin instruments and up to 16 stereo audio tracks in standalone, giving producers the headroom to build full, professional productions entirely in standalone.
MPC3 OS: A MODERN WORKFLOW FOR HARDWARE-FIRST CREATORS
Both machines run on MPC 3.9 OS, a standalone production platform that introduces a full Linear Arranger, expanded arrangement workflows, integrated synthesis through a built-in oscillator engine, and deeper DAW interoperability. Producers can sequence, arrange, and mix complete tracks entirely on the hardware. They can build drum patterns on MPC pads, chop samples with the full-featured sampler, layer plugin instruments, and finalize arrangements in the Linear Arranger's DAW-style view. A 7-inch full-color multitouch display makes navigating sessions intuitive and fast on both units.
ONE-CABLE STUDIO: USB-C HYBRID CONNECTIVITY
Both the MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2 feature USB-C connectivity with 24×24 multichannel audio streaming, expanded 32 channels of MIDI I/O, and full host and device support over a single cable. Ableton Live Control Mode and seamless Ableton project import/export make either machine a natural bridge between hardware creation and DAW finishing. Producers can also sample directly from phones, tablets, and external devices via USB-C, keeping the creative process fast and uninterrupted. An optional Pro Pack unlocks Pro Stems Algorithm, Super Warp Time-Stretch, Clip Matrix and other pro level plug-in effects on both units.
TWO MACHINES, ONE SEAMLESS WORKFLOW
While both machines come with internal hardware revisions, each is designed for a distinct creative approach. Together they represent a unified MPC ecosystem where the workflows, sounds, and performance are identical whether you're building on keys or pads.
The MPC One G2 is built for the beatmaker who wants the complete MPC experience in a compact desktop unit. Inspired by the iconic blue colorways of the classic MPC4000 and MPC1000, it features 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads across 8 banks, 4 touch-sensitive Q-Link knobs, 5-pin MIDI in/out, 4 TRS CV/Gate jacks (8 outputs total), an SD card slot, USB-A port, and USB-C port — everything needed to build, sequence, and perform without a computer.
The MPC Key 37 G2 is built for producers who write on keys but live in the MPC workflow putting melody, harmony, rhythm, and sampling into a single standalone instrument. Inspired by the iconic cream colorway of original MPCs from the late 1980s, it pairs a 37-key synth-action keybed with aftertouch, pitch and mod wheels alongside 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads making an ideal setup for composers and producers developing full song arrangements from keys. Two 1/4" TRS inputs, two 1/4" TRS outputs, 8 CV/gate outputs, and a USB-C port round out the connectivity.
LOADED WITH INSPIRATION: PLUGINS, EXPANSIONS, AND 20+ GB OF CONTENT
Both machines ship with Native Instruments Analog Dreams MPC Edition included free at launch delivering a premium collection of analog-inspired cinematic sounds for instant production. The MPC One G2 includes 11 total instrument plugins and 9 curated expansion packs; the MPC Key 37 G2 ships with 13 instrument plugins — including OPX-4, Jura, and Sub Factory — and 6 expansion packs. Both units include over 20 GB of production-ready content out of the box, giving producers a complete professional palette from the moment they power on.
