Latest run of new guitars from SOLAR GUITARS finished and assembled at the Chop Shop in Spain.
October 4th, 2024 - Solar Guitars is expanding its CHOP SHOP production of guitars finished and assembled at their main facility in Spain. The new release is aptly named “RELIK” since the finish is extremely worn and torn, like a guitar that has been performing like a champ for decades. Solar Guitars founder Ola Englund explains, "We discussed doing some distressed finishes, but once I saw and played what the guys in Spain had accomplished, I was so blown away we began producing at once."

The process is extensive with many stages that include Nitro-lacquer primer and finish, sanding, cutting, scraping, and burning along with every other trick of the trade to achieve stunning results. Once the distressed elements are completed, assembly commences with the roasted maple 3-piece neck fitted with Solar locking tuners, Floyd Rose installation, pickups, electronics wiring and copper shielding, strings strung up and final set-up by our experienced luthiers to be ready for top level professional stage or studio use. MCAS Custom fitted ABS molded TSA flight-ready case is included along with a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by Ola and the luthier that assembled each guitar. Available in White and Carbon Black custom Relik finishes.
