Cort Introduces KX700 EverTune with Maximum Tuning Stability

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — Cort Introduces the KX700 EverTune, representing the most daring KX Series electric guitar yet. This model’s EverTune® bridge system delivers maximum tuning stability, along with a completely redesigned body contour and Seymour Duncan Nazgûl™ & Sentient Humbucker set for center-of-the earth growl. With the KX700 EverTune, players will have a guitar that doesn’t go out of tune and a look that never goes out of style.

For more than two decades, the KX Series has represented the most exciting and aggressive side of Cort’s guitar lineup with sleek and stylish looks, unique features, and determination to dive deeper into the realm of extreme guitars. The KX700 EverTune figuratively picks up the torch and blazes a new trail of innovation, while staying true to classic features that have made the series a success.

Whether players are prone to heavy power chording or blistering high-gain solos, they’ll find the KX700 EverTune is ready to handle whatever they throw down with its uncanny ability to keep in tune under any condition. It’s all thanks to the revolutionary, patented, all-mechanical EverTune ET001F bridge system. Using clever physics in combination with a system of springs and levers, EverTune maintains constant tension on each individual string. This innovation keeps the guitar in perfect tuning indefinitely.

Of course, being in tune doesn’t hold as much weight if the tone itself isn’t rock-solid. The KX700 EverTune delivers on sonic characteristics through a foundation of high-quality tonewoods, starting with an ash top on a mahogany body. This combination ensures a great balance between warm yet full-sounding lows and bright, transparent highs, while offering a beautiful wood grain in an Open Pore Black finish for a more natural aesthetic. Featuring a new body contour, the KX700 EverTune has deeper cuts and newly adjusted horns for an edgier and organic look, all while giving players greater comfort and optimized playability along the 25.5-inch scale.

The strength and stability of the KX700 EverTune are reinforced by a bolt-on 5-piece maple and walnut neck that provides strong, focused sound in conjunction with the body’s acoustic resonance. Underneath, the spoke nut hotrod truss rod improves neck stability as well as ease of neck bow adjustment. On the surface, the ebony fingerboard (15.75-inch radius) offers jet-black beauty and slick smoothness, while 24 stainless steel frets offer good chording articulation and clear tone for single note lines and silky string bends. Luminlay side dot position markers make it easy for players to see fretboard positions when performing on dark stages. On the headstock, Cort’s next-generation logo is applied to perfectly complement the aggressive styling of the KX Series, while Cort’s staggered locking tuners provide further tuning stability by eliminating string slippage at the posts and facilitating quick string changes.

The natural sonic characteristics of the KX700 EverTune are taken to the center of the earth with the Seymour Duncan Nazgûl & Sentient Humbucker Set. The Nazgûl combines a large ceramic magnet with custom winding specs resulting in an ideal blend of note articulation, saturation, pick attack, and one of the most brutal “chugs” players will ever hear from a humbucker. This sonic character is complemented by the Sentient neck, which delivers a balanced, versatile tone with pristine cleans and fluid leads under high gain. The controls are kept simple with one volume pot and one tone pot with a 3-way pickup selector, allowing the player to focus on the music. Black nickel hardware tops off a clean and edgy aesthetic.

Whether players are accounting for environments prone to dynamic changes, such as weather fluctuations, or need precise tuning for specific applications, such as composing and recording, the KX700 EverTune offers a high-quality build and modern innovation at an excellent return on investment.
