Badlands Guitar Company Releases GX1 Holoflash

On the heels of its successful first limited-run model, Badlands Guitar Company is proud to announce the release of its second limited-run electric guitar, the Badlands GX1 Holoflash H/S.

The GX1 Holoflash H/S is Badlands Guitar Company’s interpretation of a classic, eye-catching finish popular with hard rock guitarists first launched on the East Coast in the late 1980s. Badlands Guitar Company elevates the original finish by sealing the holoflash film under clear
coat and black bursting the guitar’s body edges for a sharp, modern twist on this unique finish. A rolled ebony fretboard with special planetary
inlay at the 12th fret round out the GX1 Holoflash’s stage-ready, custom shop looks.

The GX1 Holoflash H/S also features a new pickup model exclusive to the Badlands Guitar Company line-up: the M81 single coil. Tonally, it serves up a big, rich sound that is perfectly balanced with the bite of the M88 humbucker. Both are connected to a dual 250K/500K volume pot to optimize the frequency response of both pickups.

The GX1 Holoflash H/S will be produced in a limited run of 100 instruments on a built-to-order basis. The first instruments in the run are expected to be delivered to customers in early 2024. The guitars will be available in right or left-hand orientations, and customers can choose between a Gotoh 1996TB locking vibrato bridge or Gotoh 510 fixed bridge at no extra charge. Each instrument will also include a special accessory pack that includes an exclusive Badlands Guitar Company poster, an exclusive guitar pick produced by V-Picks especially for the GX1 Holoflash run, an exclusive finished/matched Runway Audio instrument cable and a super fashionable Badlands patch and button set for your denim rocker jacket!

Every component of a Badlands instrument, from the tip of the headstock to the rear strap button, is carefully chosen for quality, value, and true-to-era accuracy.

Badlands Guitar Company was launched in 2022 by YouTube guitar community luminaries The Tone King and Phillip McKnight and professional designer Luka Skalabrin. Leveraging their combined expertise in high-performance guitar design, configuration, and set-up, they founded Badlands Guitar Company to elevate hard rock guitar design and produce custom shop quality, era-correct instruments at accessible prices to offer every customer a taste of the ‘80s hard rock guitar hero experience. Brian Olexy, a gigging musician and communication professional, rounds out the Badlands ownership team.
