Solar Guitars, founded by renowned guitarist and online celebrity Ola Englund has launched the two more instruments from its new “Made in Europe”, European Standard Series. These AB6 Hardtail models include a Gotoh bridge, Richlite Fretboard, custom European hand-wired Alnico V humbuckers and ABS Molded hardcase.
AB6 is Available in Blood Red and Green satin, and Svart Black finishes. The new European Standard Series AB6HBR belongs to the French produced AB series, with Black-on-Black 12th fret insignia. It is outfitted with Richlite fingerboard, black Tusq nut, Luminlay fret markers, 18:1 Locking tuners and Gotoh brass hardtail bridge for maximum tone and punch. The custom wound SA56BEU and SA56NEU Solar Modern humbuckers were painstakingly voiced to perfection by Ola and the Solar product team.
With a classic but aggressive take on the usual Solar Alnico V, our energy was focused to ensure these new European made pickups would be the most perfectly matched set for these new instruments. Each pickup is installed directly into the wood with brass countersinks to create a harmonious tonal marriage between body resonance and electrical output.
Schaller Megaswitch, CTS volume potentiometer and PureTone output jack complete the electronics package. Each guitar ships in a custom MCAS flight-ready molded case with certificate of authenticity personally signed by Ola Englund.
