UVI RELEASE THORUS XT

UVI release Thorus XT, a new take on their best-selling chorus adds analog circuit-modeled BBD engine and continuous voice control

Paris, August 26th, 2026 – UVI release Thorus XT, an extended chorus designer and a new take on their best-selling chorus plugin. Advanced DSP drives a morphable eight-voice architecture, joined by a second engine that faithfully models the analog bucket-brigade circuits that chorus was born on. Two worlds, one plugin, from brilliant digital shimmer to grainy vintage movement and everywhere in between. Thorus XT is available now at a special introductory price of $49 | 49€ through September 7th, 2026 (regularly $79 | 79€).

CUTTING-EDGE DSP
Thorus XT delivers a variable chorus architecture with continuous and morphable voice control; sweeping voices results in the last voice fading in and out smoothly, with no stepping. Fewer voices give pronounced, identifiable modulation; more voices blur the line into a thick, immersive wash.

DIGITAL–CLEAN, PRECISE, TRANSPARENT
The digital engine is the Thorus you already know, refined: clean, precise, and prized for its clarity, with every voice reading a single shared delay line at interpolated positions for a crystalline, detailed sound. When clean isn’t the objective, Quality becomes a band-limited sample-rate reducer with a downsampled, lo-fi edge. It widens vocals, keys, and layered synths without clouding a modern mix.

ANALOG–WARM, COLORED, ALIVE
A faithful bucket-brigade chip emulation, the circuit found in classic hardware units like the Dimension D and Juno-6. Where the digital engine is clean by design, this one gives users the natural imperfections of hardware: aliasing, resonance, pumping compression, hiss, and per-voice variation, with the parameters normally sealed inside the circuit opened up and made shapeable. It brings vintage weight and motion to guitars, electric pianos, and polysynth pads.
KEY FEATURES:

  • Two chorus engines in one plugin: pristine digital and analog circuit-modeled BBD
  • Shared morphable eight-voice architecture with continuously variable voice count
  • Faithful bucket-brigade chip emulation with modeled aliasing, hiss, and per-voice variation
  • Analog circuit control over Aliasing, Stability, and Compander

Thorus XT is compatible with current versions of all major DAWs on both Mac and Windows platforms (VST3, AU, and AAX). A single license includes 3 activations that can be used on any combination of individual computer systems or iLok keys. A 3-day trial is available.
