Solar Guitars, founded by renowned guitarist and online celebrity Ola Englund, has launched two new installments for its European Master Series, hand crafted in France. The stunning visual theme of these new models is “Luthier hand-made Solars with Amazing Flame Maple Tops!!!”. Both models are Mahogany bodies with AAA Flame Maple tops in stunning “Ola Cognac Satin” and “Solar-Burst Gloss” with 5-piece maple necks, Richlite and Maple Fretboards and matching flame-capped headstocks. The hardware differs in that the SB6FRFSB has a Gotoh1996 with Big Brass Block and Solar Locking Tuners, while the SB6FROC has Graphtech Ratio Locking Tuners and Graphtech LB63 Ghost loaded piezo equipped bridge with Ghost Acousti-phonic preamp to expand its tonal variety.
Both models are equipped with custom wound SA56BEU and SA56NEU Solar Modern humbuckers that are a more modern and aggressive take on the classic Solar Alnico V, focused to perfectly match these new instruments. Each pickup is installed directly into the wood with brass countersinks to create a harmonious tonal marriage between body resonance and electrical output. Schaller Megaswitch & CTS potentiometers complete the electronics package. Each guitar ships in a custom MCAS flight-ready molded case with certificate of authenticity personally signed by Ola.
