Originally part of the Creative Collection of instrument plug-ins included in Avid™ Pro Tools™, Boom and Vacuum Classic are now available in the Audio Unit and VST formats for the very first time. They can therefore be used in any DAW that supports AU and VSTi plug-in formats.
As the popularity of Pro Tools grew, more and more musicians and producers relied on the incredible sonic firepower of Boom, the amazing Drum Machine, and the fat powerful analog sounds of Vacuum. With the release of these virtual instruments in AU and VST formats, the same tools that generated countless hit records can now be used in ALL available DAWs. Pro Tools users asked and can finally upgrade their favorite tools and use their presets, grooves and riffs in other DAWs which now enables collaborative projects.
Boom and Vacuum have been used on countless hit projects since their launch, ranging from award winning albums, featured films and radio projects. They are both two of the most loved Pro Tools virtual instrument plug-ins.

Users can mix and match drums from different kits to make their own custom kits. Drum sounds can be triggered individually via standard MIDI pitch mappings. Over 50 inspiring presets are included covering contemporary, classic electronic/urban musical genres. Boom also has an on-board sequencer that enables you to create and trigger your own patterns, which can be saved and recalled as presets for studio or even live performances.
The brand new Vacuum “Classic” version of Vacuum is a monophonic vintage synthesizer featuring Vacuum’s Tube Synthesis and vacuum’s tube circuit modeling that perfectly captures the crunchy, warm sound of the analog era. Analog oscillators, multiple filters, envelopes and dedicated built-in audio effects generate deep bass sounds and crispy clear leads.
Included are a wide range of well designed presets programmed by the highly-acclaimed sound designers Richard Devine and Mark Ovenden. These cover everything from Leads, Pads, Bass, Arpeggios, Percussive, and FX sounds. A great inspiration start for anyone to tweak to their contentment.
