Moog Music just launched an incredible Carl Sagan/PBS-inspired free 7-part video series called Synthesizing with Moog that makes learning synthesis approachable. The first episode "Listening.” is live now. There will be a new episode every Wednesday with downloadable worksheets for hands-on practice.The series is hosted by Chris Miller, Moog's product specialist, and it starts from the basics — how sound works, how we hear it — before diving into the technical stuff. It isn’t Moog-specific, it's a general approach to synthesis.
