ELECTRO-HARMONIX SERVES UP THE EHX PERCOLATOR

— Harmonic Saturator Tribute to an OG OD —

New York City, NY, 6/16/2026: Electro-Harmonix has released the EHX Percolator, a modern take on the incredibly rare Interfax Harmonic Percolator, an old-school fuzz drive famously utilized by Steve Albini on stage and in the studio. EHX have taken this very unique circuit and adds an ever useful bias control as well as a secondary clipping mode that lifts diodes for a enhanced versatility.

Based on even-order harmonic clipping and capable of tones ranging from raunchy overdrive to ripping heavy fuzz, the tone of the EHX Percolator can be both rich and brash with plenty of boost on tap. Adjust the HARMONICS control to set the input gain of the circuit and the BALANCE control to set the overall output level. The Bias control adjusts the bias of the gain circuit to achieve ripping gated sounds and enhanced sub-octave content. The FUZZ/DRIVE switch toggles between standard clipping operation (FUZZ) and lifted diode mode (DRIVE). In FUZZ mode, the EHX Percolator produces heavier fuzz tones while DRIVE mode makes the pedal act like a transistor drive with a raw, organic character. These controls are all interactive and the circuit reacts dynamically providing it’s wide range of tonal possibilities.

The EHX Percolator features True Bypass and a footswitch with Latching/Momentary action. Clicking the footswitch produces a normal latching function. A press and hold of the footswitch results in a momentary change between bypass states for a burst of fuzz and an instant change back to bypass when you lift your foot, or vice versa.
This ode to a true overdrive original ships with a 9 Volt battery, is available now and has a U.S. Street Price of $99.00. For more information, visit www.ehx.com.
