Moog: A Small Batch of New MF-104M Analog Delays Has Been Created at the Moog Factory in Asheville, NC.

Visit the Moog Factory to purchase a new MF-104M Analog Delay.

Asheville, NC, April 5, 2019 — Based on Bob Moog’s Moogerfooger MF-104 Analog Delay design, the MF-104M uses the same vintage analog Bucket Brigade Delay (BBD) chips as the original, which provide 800ms of the richest analog delay on the planet. The limited nature of these new-old-stock BBD chips has caused the Moogerfooger Analog Delay to oscillate in and out of production as new sources for the hard-to-find components were established and subsequently exhausted, with no new units produced since the last supply was depleted in 2015.
This year, a recently discovered cache of vintage BBD chips has allowed us to build the MF-104M again, with just enough of the rare component to complete a short run of new delays. This small batch of MF-104M Analog Delays is only available for purchase on-site at The Moog Store in Asheville, NC, where visitors can get hands-on with Moog synthesizers, learn about the science behind the Moog sound, and even take a tour of the Moog Factory to see their instrument being born.
