The Gibson Les Paul Custom™ came to life when Les Paul himself requested a guitar that “looks like a tuxedo.” Now, this timeless aesthetic is available on a quartet of stunning acoustic guitars from Gibson Custom, handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, with premium appointments and finished in gloss Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer. With their Ebony finishes and Custom-inspired cosmetics, including multi-ply binding, mother-of-pearl block fretboard inlays, and the Custom split diamond headstock inlay, these Gibson Custom acoustics have the “tuxedo” appointments and visual appeal of the legendary Les Paul Custom. First introduced in 2003, the Songwriter combines Gibson’s time-honored bracing patterns of the 1930s with our original dreadnought shape, providing outstanding tonal quality. The solid rosewood back and sides, paired with the solid Sitka spruce top, delivers a full, rich, and balanced tone. The cutaway body ensures excellent access to the upper frets on the comfortable, ebony fretboard-equipped round profile mahogany neck.
