Professional Stage Keyboards with Four Independent Sound Engines, Intuitive Live Workflow Features, and Versatile Connectivity
Anaheim, CA, January 21, 2025 — Roland announces V-STAGE, a new lineup of performance instruments for professional stage musicians. V-STAGE elevates the all-in-one gigging keyboard to a new dimension of creative power and control, fusing premium sound technologies with a speedy workflow purpose-built for serious players. Users can experience a world of sonic expression with versatile sounds, elegantly intuitive interfaces, and exceptional playability for the best performance every time.
V-STAGE keyboards feature four independent sound engines driven by Roland’s finest behavior modeling and sound technologies. Discrete sections provide dedicated controls for seamless operation while performing.
Acoustic Piano—This section offers deeply expressive pianos powered by V-Piano technology, including two concert grands, an upright piano, and a new felt-treated model with a unique velvety sound. Every note reveals authentic acoustic detail and rich tonal depth, realized through an exquisitely modeled system of virtual string behaviors, soundboard materials, and hammer construction.
Electric Piano—This newly developed EP engine includes tine, reed, digital piano, and clavinet instruments crafted with the latest SuperNATURAL advancements. Tremolo, amp simulator, and curated MFX processing are within easy reach, along with a powerful Sound Lift knob for cutting through dense band mixes.
Organ—This section features a three-layer console organ powered by the latest generation of Roland’s renowned Virtual Tone Wheel tech plus two classic transistor models and a pipe organ. Harmonic bars and percussion controls provide an authentic organ experience, complemented by overdrive, vibrato/chorus, and a rotary speaker effect with variable speed, brake control, and mic positioning.
Synthesizer—Driven by Roland’s ZEN-Core engine, this section provides over 400 onboard tones to tackle every musical style. Two simultaneous parts are available with fast sound shaping via attack, release, filter, and other controls. V-STAGE also supports ZEN-Core patch and sound options on Roland Cloud, providing an ever-expanding palette of inspiration. Included with V-STAGE are free downloads of Model Expansions titles based on the JUPITER-8, JUNO-106, and other vintage Roland analog synths.
The ergonomic V-STAGE interface is designed to make music in the moment via an intuitive panel layout, sleek color LCD, and clearly labeled controls. There’s also a Total Effects section with a large selection from the Roland library and a Master section with EQ and compression to fine-tune the overall output for different venues. Using 512 Scene memories and the Scene Chain function, players can save complete keyboard setups and rapidly access them while performing on stage.
V-STAGE offers versatile balanced output connectivity options to cover any playing situation. There’s also an XLR microphone input and a stereo line input for mixing in an external instrument. And with the class-compliant USB-C audio/MIDI interface, it’s simple to integrate computers and mobile devices with the V-STAGE experience.
The two V-STAGE models feature supremely playable keyboards that connect players with each instrument’s signature tones. Cutting-edge Roland sensing technology dynamically adapts to the current sound engine selections, ensuring the most expressive response. V-STAGE 88 offers an authentic acoustic piano experience with an 88-note weighted keyboard with hammer action, escapement, and Ivory Feel keys. V-STAGE 76 features a newly developed 76-note semi-weighted waterfall keyboard for a traditional organ feel and inspiring synth playability.
