Whether it’s loud rehearsal rooms, inconsistent venue monitoring, or sweat-soaked live sets, the new entry into beyerdynamic's in-ear monitor range is designed to help musicians stay locked into their performance night after night.
HEILBRONN, GERMANY – JUNE 16, 2026 – beyerdynamic, the preferred audio brand for musicians, creators, and studio professionals around the world, today announces the DT 30 IE, a professional in-ear monitor built for ambitious musicians who take their live performances seriously. Designed in Germany and engineered for the demands of real stage environments, the DT 30 IE brings balanced monitoring sound, exceptional passive noise isolation, and robust durability to performers at every level.
Professional Sound. Any Instrument.
While many popular in-ear monitors rely on a strongly mid-focused sound tuning that can compromise an accurate monitor mix, the DT 30 IE takes a different approach. Designed for real monitoring rather than casual listening, its 11 mm dynamic driver delivers a balanced, neutral sound signature across a full 5 Hz to 20,000 Hz frequency response, giving musicians the reliable foundation they need to make confident decisions on stage. Whether monitoring vocals, guitars, click tracks, or backing tracks, the DT 30 IE helps every performer stay locked into the mix night after night.
For many musicians, the DT 30 IE will be their first real professional monitoring system, built to support the transition from floor wedges to in-ear monitoring setups. It sits alongside the reference-class DT 70 IE Series introduced at NAMM 2025, which marked beyerdynamic's first step into the in-ear monitor space. Where the DT 70 IE models offer instrument-specific sound tuning, the DT 30 IE is engineered as the versatile all-rounder, ideal for musicians who want reliable, balanced monitoring for any instrument across any stage situation.
“Besides the microphones, I regularly use the beyerdynamic in-ear monitors both in the studio and for live gigs,” said drummer and content creator Carl-Johan Hökdal. “Especially as a drummer, having reliable monitoring and great isolation on stage makes a huge difference for me. I have never felt more comfortable with my in-ear mix as I do now.
Secure Comfort. Focused Isolation.
Loud drummers, noisy stages, and inconsistent venue sound can easily ruin a performance. With up to 39 dB of passive isolation, the DT 30 IE helps performers stay focused on their mix instead of fighting stage noise. It features a compact, ergonomic design developed through hundreds of ear scans, ensuring a secure, comfortable hold that stays in place even through the most physically demanding performances. At just 2.7 grams per side and significantly slimmer than competing multi-driver designs, it remains comfortable across long rehearsals and full sets alike. Three pairs of silicone ear tips (S, M, L) and three pairs of foam ear tips (S, M, L) are included, allowing the right fit and total focus from the very first note.
“Even compared to custom-molded in-ear monitors, the beyerdynamic DT in-ears impressed me right away,” said drummer, producer and content creator Abel Orta Jr. “They deliver exactly the bass, comfort and reliability I need every single day on stage.”
Rugged Construction. Lasting Reliability.
Demanding tour schedules, midnight loadouts, and sweat-soaked sets are where the DT 30 IE earns its keep. With IP54-rated protection against dust and water splashes, the DT 30 IE performs regardless of conditions, while the Kevlar®️-reinforced detachable cable minimizes handling noise across a full set and can be swapped out via the MMCX connector system when needed. Gold-plated connectors and an integrated memory wire keep everything locked in place gig after gig. With spare parts available separately, the DT 30 IE is built to last well beyond a single touring season.
“Too many musicians start with consumer-tuned in-ear monitors that aren’t actually designed for live performance,” said Kevin Nietsch, Product Manager PRO Audio at beyerdynamic. “With the DT 30 IE, we wanted to create a serious professional monitoring tool musicians can rely on from their very first gig.”
