CALABASAS, Calif., June 30, 2026 — Guild® Guitars today debuted the S-300 Deluxe Neptune Blue Metallic and S-300 Deluxe Vintage Sterling Metallic solid-body electric guitars—revisiting the cult classic S-300 guitar introduced in 1977.
“The S-300 was viewed as fairly radical when it was introduced nearly 50 years ago,” said Nick Beach, Product Manager, Fretted Instruments. “The guitar’s offset body had dramatic cutaways and contours that gave it a futuristic look, and its phase switch was also unusual at the time—but since then it has become increasingly popular and collectable. With the new S-300 Deluxe guitar, we’re bringing back a classic with a few key changes to make it even more comfortable and giving players a choice of eye-catching metallic finishes.”
S-300 Deluxe Neptune Blue Metallic
The S-300 Deluxe Neptune Blue Metallic and S-300 Deluxe Vintage Sterling Metallic guitars feature comfortable contoured mahogany bodies and Soft U mahogany set necks, ivory-bound rosewood fingerboards, large vintage-style headstocks with Guild peak logo and Chesterfield inlays, stylish 5-ply black pickguards, and classy top hat knobs. Hardware includes Ultimate Angle Tune-o-matic-style bridges, vintage-style Guild Compensated tailpieces, and Grover G2 open-gear tuners.
A pair of HB-2+ humbucking pickups with Alnico V magnets, combined with dual Volume and Tone controls and a phase switch, deliver a wide variety of tones ranging from old-school warmth and punch to cutting-edge crunch and clarity.
The S-300 Deluxe guitars are the newest additions to the Deluxe series of the Guild Newark St. Collection of vintage-inspired instruments that also includes the Polara Deluxe.
