TICKETS ON SALE NOW
Multi-platinum band 311 have formally announced the June 23 release date of their 12th studio album MOSAIC (BMG) alongside the reveal of its unique album cover--which is made up of nearly 10,000 photos submitted by fans. Even the image of the 5 band members on the cover is made up of tiny fan photos--to solidify the concept of band and fans as one. Fans can view a high-resolution pan & zoom mosaic of the cover image now at 311AlbumArt.com.
"This cover captures the spirit of the collective nature that is 311--band and fans together to form something greater than the sum of its parts."says NICK HEXUM (singer/guitarist). CHAD SEXTON (drums) adds, "We have a very symbiotic relationship with our fans that see us on tour year after year. We wanted to have an album title that would describe our fan base, our band & our music. And to tie all of this into a concept that could be presented in the album artwork as well."
Beginning today, April 13, pre-orders of MOSAIC will come with the first single "Too Much To Think" and the new song "Too Late." Listen to "Too Late" (here)and pre-order the new album MOSAIC (here).
MOSAIC's first single "Too Much To Think"--one of 17 songs from the new album, which NICK HEXUM calls "a menagerie of styles created by five friends and our extended musical family at our best! Innovation, fun, chops, and heart"--premiered at alternative radio on March 10--and is already #28 on the Alternative chart. Watch the lyric video for the song (here). The album was produced by John Feldmann (Blink-182, Panic! At The Disco, etc.) and Scotch Ralston (who produced 311's iconic Transistor, Soundsystem and Stereolithic albums). With MOSAIC, 311 are approaching their 10th consecutive Top 10 album debut on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart.
