The Crystal Method, warmed up the crowd with a 40-minute set of galvanic EDM. One of the leading lights of the '90s Big Beat scene, which also included such acts as Fat Boy Slim, The Chemical Brother and The Prodigy, The Crystal Method stood out by making accessible dance music that was more experimental than their contemporaries.  It was Kirkland's first date on this portion of the Tool tour and he was in high spirits, thanking the audience after almost every song....On the surface, TCM and Tool don't have much in common, but both acts challenge the listener.
