Solar Guitars is continually expanding its CHOP SHOP production of guitars finished and assembled at their main facility in Spain. Their new release is all about UPGRADES!
The PYRO ROJO has become a top seller since its release and now the luthiers at Solar are offering it with a Gotoh 1996 Big Brass Block Trem along with a new Oil Finish for the three-piece roasted maple neck that results in an amazing feel with superior tone and resonance. The whole process starts with the ancient art of torching hardwood (Shou Sugi Ban) to achieve greater strength and stunning visual effects from the wood grain.
The process is extensive; the body and headstock are meticulously burned by hand along with the logo applied with actual fire heated brand stamp. After the burning phases, the body and headstock are sanded clean then tinted fire red before poly sealer coats are applied. The neck then receives the new 3 step Oil Finish application process. Once dry, assembly commences with Solar locking tuners, Gotoh 1996T, Solar and Duncan Solar pickups, electronics wiring, switchcraft jack and copper shielding before strings strung up with final set-up by our experienced luthiers to be ready for top level professional stage or studio use. MCAS Custom fitted ABS molded TSA flight-ready case is included along with a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by Ola and the luthier that assembled each guitar.
