ANAHEIM, CA, January 22, 2025 –Today, Shure announced several brand new microphones that will be debuting at the 2025 NAMM Show (Booth #15608) in Anaheim, California.

SM39

First, the SM39 Vocal Performance Headset Microphone, specifically engineered for performers who demand the freedom to move boldly and command the stage with uncompromising sound quality. “Every year, productions are becoming more immersive, with advancements in technology propelling fans further into the performance. To meet the expectations of their audiences, today’s musicians demand headset microphones with superior comfort and stability so they can confidently take command of the stage, whether they are running into the audience or performing an intricate dance routine,” said Nick Wood, Senior Director of Global Marketing and Product Management, at Shure. “The biggest acts in genres like K-Pop, Hip-Hop, and Country are already adopting the SM39 for its reliability, imparting the confidence musicians need to experience the benefits of the highest-quality wireless freedom only Shure can provide.”
Carousel Product Image 1The SM39 features a cardioid polar pattern for excellent sound isolation in both indoor and outdoor environments, ideal for productions tasked with ensuring high-quality performances in any setting. The headset was carefully developed with input from today’s most pioneering audio production teams and musicians to deliver a contoured, secure fit with an adjustable boom that is designed to stay in place during energetic performances on the world’s largest stages. With hydrophobic coating, the SM39 is sweat resistant, ensuring the microphone will stand up to the rigors of every performance, night after night.

“The sound clarity of the SM39 is fantastic. I have a lot of headroom with a great frequency response,” said Fernando “Goose” Guzman, Front of House Engineer for Peso Pluma. “Using several types of headset microphones for a while now, this is one of the first times I have no concerns about getting a powerful voice before feedback. It is like getting a handheld mic placed in the exact same place in front of your face the whole show. This microphone is used by ‘Parka’ he is our Tololoche (upright bass) player, MD, and Producer for Peso Pluma. I’m so pleased with this mic!”

Key Features and Benefits

  • Audio Quality Shure is Known For: The SM39 delivers Shure-quality audio that captures every detail of the performer’s voice so they can be heard clearly throughout every performance. Fully compatible with Axient Digital, the headset is designed to withstand high sound pressure levels and deliver pristine audio in even the loudest environments.
  • Empowers Performers to Move Freely: When mobility matters most, the SM39 enables performers to move about the stage with ease and confidence, making it easy for lead vocalists and instrumentalists to engage with the audience. Its adjustable and flexible boom arm ensures precise positioning and mic placement every time, while its stable and secure fit means there is minimal shifting or slipping as the artist moves.
  • Unmatched Comfort and Stability: To meet the demand of today’s most dynamic performers who may be wearing the SM39 for hours at a time, its ergonomic and non-intrusive design provides exceptional comfort. The lightweight build of the SM39 lets it naturally contour to the performer’s head and jawline; the hydrophobic coating helps resist sweat even during the most intense performances.

KSM11

Additionally, following the introduction of its award-winning KSM11 Wireless Cardioid Condenser Capsule in 2022, Shure continues to redefine the standard for premium vocal performance microphones. Today, Shure has also announced that the KSM11 is now available in a wired version, delivering the same industry-leading vocal clarity and natural sound of the wireless capsule in an XLR microphone.

Building on the KSM11’s reputation as the premium standard for vocal microphones, the wired KSM11 now makes top-tier performance accessible to artists and engineers who demand an XLR solution for live performance, broadcast, simulcast, and live-streamed applications. For performances that require efficient and unmatched quality, the KSM11 requires substantially less processing and EQ to reproduce the true quality and intelligibility of artists’ vocals.

The wired version retains all the benefits of its wireless counterpart, including:

  • Proprietary condenser capsule using a ¾-inch gold diaphragm and premium electronics for exceptional dynamic range and transient response
  • Highly consistent, deep cardioid polar pattern to reduce off-axis phase distortion for pristinely focused vocal reproduction to provide rich and full low frequency response, linear and transparent mid-range, and natural high-end detail
  • Advanced suspended isolation system for minimizing handling noise
  • Dent-resistant hardened steel grille with 3-stage plosive reduction pop filtering for consistent, artifact-free vocals

Carousel Product Image 2“The KSM11 sets a new standard for top-of-the-line condenser microphones, delivering the most natural, transparent, and high-clarity audio without the need for additional processing,” said Nick Wood, Senior Director, Global Marketing and Product Management at Shure. “We knew it was unlike anything else on the market, and with the introduction of the wireless capsule, we saw strong demand for a wired version. It became clear that artists and engineers saw the potential for this technology in live performances where the simplicity of a wired setup is required.

Trusted by the Industry’s Leading Artists and Engineers
Since its debut, the KSM11 has been adopted by front-of-house and monitor engineers for performers such as Dua Lipa; Tyler, the Creator; and Miley Cyrus. These engineers praised the microphone’s ability to deliver honest and pure vocal reproduction, simplifying the mix process while ensuring every bit of the artist’s performance is heard with unmatched clarity.

“When I compared it to the other very popular mic, I was surprised that the (KSM)11 had much better high-end to it. It was much smoother, much more natural. I’d say put it in your lineup, because it is going to be a great-sounding mic.” – Paul Hager, FOH, Miley Cyrus

“Rappers, MCs – they always cup the mic. That is the notorious problem with hip-hop. I actually talked to Shure, and I said, ‘Boy, it’d be really nice if you had a mic that could do this.’ So, they sent me a capsule of the KSM11... And I was like ‘Nailed it, you got it.’ It is consistent whether or not your artist cups the mic. I can just trust it. I can trust that capsule to get the job done.” – Paul Wichmann, FOH, Tyler, The Creator

Nexadyne Instrument Microphones

Lastly, Shure also announced the expansion of its Nexadyne™ product line with the introduction of three all-new dynamic instrument microphones: the Nexadyne 2 Kick Drum Microphone, Nexadyne 5 Guitar Amp Microphone, and Nexadyne 6 Tom/Snare Microphone.

Each Nexadyne microphone boasts Shure’s patented Revonic™ Dual-Engine Transducer Technology. While typical instrument microphones use a single transducer, Nexadyne microphones feature two precisely calibrated transducers working together to achieve optimal performance that delivers natural, authentic clarity while minimizing unwanted noise.

Nexadyne’s combination of acoustic signal processing and exceptional polar pattern linearity, enables the microphone line to deliver a stronger and clearer output. This output is more authentic to the performer and reduces audio engineers’ need to apply typical EQ corrections.
“Nexadyne Instrument mics bring Shure’s revolutionary Revonic technology to more audio professionals and performers,” said Nick Wood, Senior Director, Global Marketing and Product Management, at Shure. “Nexadyne is about capturing the essence of a performance.  Now the same breakthrough dual transducer design that powers our Nexadyne Vocal Microphones is available in three new supercardioid models perfect for backline and instrument applications.”

Featuring compact industrial designs and a discreet, black finish for low-profile visibility, Nexadyne Instrument Microphones provide exceptional sound quality, industry-leading durability, and stage-friendly functionality.
