FURCH GUITARS EXPANDS PORTFOLIO WITH SPECTRA PLUS SERIES OF COLORED-TOP ACOUSTICS

Velké Němčice, Czech Republic – 3 November 2025 – Furch Guitars (Furch), one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium-quality, all solid-wood acoustic instruments, announces the introduction of the Spectra Plus Series: a new line of all-solid acoustic guitars in eight vibrant top colors, bringing a bold new palette to Furch’s portfolio.

“At Furch, we see the guitar as a musician’s tool and an extension of their creative musical mind. That is why making the acoustic guitar more responsive and more connected to the player is at the core of our ongoing innovation,” says Petr Furch, CEO of Furch Guitars. “With the new Spectra Plus Series, we are taking a step further in this direction. Alongside musical expression, we are now expanding the possibilities for visual expression as well.”
He continues: “I completely understand a musician’s need to deliver the perfect show on stage, both sonically and visually. We all go to concerts to share an unforgettable experience with our favorite artists, and that experience is never limited to just one sense. That is why we are introducing the Spectra Plus Series. It combines advanced engineering features aimed at improving acoustic performance and playability, such as our individual soundboard voicing, resonance-enhancing finishes, and the CNR System® Active neck joint. These core features are now complemented by a selection of carefully designed color finishes that open new possibilities for visual expression as well.”

At Furch, the guitar is seen as a musician’s tool and an extension of their creative musical mind. Making the acoustic guitar more responsive and more connected to the player has long been a core principle of the company’s innovation. With the new Spectra Plus Series, this philosophy takes another step forward.
Alongside musical expression, the series expands the possibilities for visual expression. It reflects the needs of performers who aim to deliver a complete experience on stage, one that engages both the ears and the eyes. The Spectra Plus Series combines advanced engineering features such as individual soundboard voicing, resonance-enhancing finishes, and the CNR System® Active neck joint with a selection of carefully designed color finishes that open new opportunities for visual identity.
To give the new series its distinctive look while maintaining the design character typical of Furch guitars, the company developed eight signature color finishes: Ricasoli Yellow, Maranello Red, Siena Amber, Capri Blue, Baltic Blue, Provence Violet, Bled Emerald, and Connemara Green. These colors are applied to the tops using Furch’s proprietary UV polymerized Full-Pore High Gloss Finish. The backs and sides, by contrast, feature an Open Pore Finish that incorporates the same UV polymerized, resonance-enhancing base coat. This creates a contrast in both appearance and feel while preserving the tonal potential of the body. The interplay between the glossy tops and the more minimalist appearance of the back and sides is further accentuated by artificial ivory binding on the Spectra Plus ER model and artificial tortoise binding on the Spectra Plus EM.

Each Spectra Plus model features an individually voiced Engelmann spruce top soundboard, delivering a bright, crisp tonal character with strong projection. For the backs and sides, players can choose between African mahogany, which adds warmth, focus, and woody midrange (Spectra Plus EM), or Indian rosewood, which is known for its deep lows, sparkling trebles, and lush overtones (Spectra Plus ER).

All instruments are built with the Furch CNR System® Active neck joint, the company’s proprietary dual-action neck design with a self adjusting function. This system compensates for changes in humidity and temperature, ensuring long-term neck stability. It also includes a dedicated string action adjustment screw that allows players to easily personalize playability.
