Berlin, December 10, 2020 – Native Instruments today released SOUL MAGIC and SOUL SESSIONS, new additions to their Expansions and Play Series lines created in collaboration with MSXII Sound Design. The new Expansion and Play Series instrument cover sounds inspired by the progression of soul music from the 1960s to the present day.
SOUL SESSIONS is the latest addition to NI’s popular line of deep yet easy-to-play KONTAKT Play Series instruments. From picked and slapped bass, to acoustic and synthesized keys, classic organs, dusky horns, and classic string sounds, SOUL SESSIONS covers a huge spectrum of soul instrumentation – all of which can be blended, modulated, tweaked, and transformed.
SOUL SESSIONS joins a growing Play Series portfolio, which delivers fun, fast, and endlessly tweakable sample-based instruments geared toward quick inspiration and quality results.
The new SOUL MAGIC Expansion brings together live-recorded kits, bass, guitars, and vocals, alongside diverse instrumentations that take cues from the swinging 60s, funk-fired 70s, the synth-driven electronic 80s, the smoother incarnations of 90s neo-soul and R&B, as well as contemporary takes on the genre.
Like all Expansions, samples from SOUL MAGIC can be used in any DAW. It also includes kits for MASCHINE and BATTERY 4, as well as presets for MASSIVE and MONARK.
SOUL SESSIONS and SOUL MAGIC will cater to a diverse range of musicians looking to bring new organic tones and timbres, whether it’s for hip-hop, ambient, electronica, trap, jazz, or funk.
To celebrate the joint release, users can buy one and get the other half price until January 11, 2021. More information, as well as audio demos, can be found on the NI website.
