Washburn Bella Tono Guitars Feature New Body Size That Delivers An Entirely New Playing Experience!

“Studio” body size extends Washburn’s long history of innovation.

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, January 23, 2019 — Calling it the next great advance in the brand’s long history of meaningful innovation, Washburn today announced the market introduction of its new Bella Tono Studio Series, featuring an all new “Studio” sized body that has a smaller body profile that delivers a full body tone. The series is being showcased at Winter NAMM 2019 in Booth #6814, according to Washburn Vice President & General Manager Gil Soucy.

“With its full 25 ½” scale and compact 39” overall body length, the Washburn Bella Tono Series is innovative, visually stunning, and sonically excellent. The development of this new guitar category extends Washburn’s long tradition of pioneering innovation, and it does so while offering players an unbeatable value,” Soucy said.

The Bella Tono Novo S9, the initial offering in the Bella Tono line, features an eye-catching high gloss Charcoal-Burst Spruce top and Figured Walnut back & sides. The new Washburn “Studio” body design makes for an incredibly comfortable playing experience while managing to maintain the tight lows, focused mids and clear highs commonly associated with larger body sizes.

Its full 25 ½” scale length extends an undeniable familiarity to the player and the satin finished, modern “C” profile of the Okoume neck is smooth and cozy feeling in the hands. Subtle yet beautiful inlays adorn its ebony fingerboard and the under-stated black and white binding of the top and back add to the overall striking look of this superb little instrument.

At first glance, the Bella Tono Vite S9V is an obvious pairing to the Novo boasting the same eye-catching high gloss Charcoal-Bust Spruce top and Figured Walnut back & sides. The Vite differs in its cutaway body design, the Barcus Berry LX4 pickup system for amplified possibilities and a breath-taking exotic-wood vine inlaid ebony fingerboard. It too features the new Washburn “Studio” body design. Its full 25 ½“ scale length extends an undeniable familiarity to the player and the satin finished, modern “C” profile of the Okoume neck is smooth and cozy feeling in the hands.

The Bella Tono Elegante S24S goes beyond what an acoustic guitar player could ever ask for. It features a Solid Spruce top and jaw-droppingly gorgeous Pau Ferro back & sides pairing and, of course, the new “Studio” body size. The soundboard is adorned with stunning abalone for both the rosette and purfling which is further accented with a rich padauk highlight and ebony binding. The ebony fingerboard continues with the lush abalone appointments; depicting an inlaid scene of mountains and birds of flight.

The guitar’s solid Spruce top helps define sonic nuances throughout the entire register of the instrument. Its full 25 ½“ scale length extends an undeniable familiarity to the player and the satin finished, modern “C” profile of the Mahogany neck is smooth and cozy feeling in the hands.

The flagship offering in the Bella Tono series is the Allure SC56S. This model features the new “Studio” body size, a solid Spruce top, gorgeous Acacia back & side and cutaway body design for easy access to the upper frets. The soundboard is adorned with stunning abalone for both the rosette and purfling and is bound in maple. The ebony fingerboard continues with the lush appointments; depicting a beach island scene of a palm tree and birds of flight which are inlaid in exquisite abalone and turquoise. The solid Spruce top helps define sonic nuances throughout the entire register of the instrument and showcases Washburn’s Comfort Arm Rest. Its full 25 ½” scale length extends an undeniable familiarity to the player and the satin finished, modern “C” profile of the Mahogany neck is smooth and cozy feeling in the hands. For live performances or in the studio, it comes equipped with a Barcus Berry LX4 pickup system.

The new Washburn Bella Tono Series of guitars is being exhibited at Winter NAMM 2019 in Booth #6814 in the Anaheim Convention Center.
